Planting the Seed

I am targeting 10-15 year olds as I currently work with children of this age and see that an educational effect at this time is essential.
This project involves reinvigorating a large garden at the St Ives Park Primary School, where I will be conducting various classes of teaching children how to be garden-friendly and the benefits that come with it. The focus surveys that I will be conducting in the beginning and at the end of the program, are being aimed to target variables that change in a child’s perception about the garden.
The overall impact I hope for is for participants to develop the exposure to the natural environment at an early age and appreciate its value, and ultimately increase their desire for outdoor experience as adults to reap all its benefits.
